Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Anderson Dahlen plays a crucial role in ensuring that facilities, buildings, and equipment are in optimal working condition to maintain the continuous flow of production. This position demands a mix of mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance skills within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair, install, and maintain machinery, equipment, and electrical systems using hand tools and power tools.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery components.
  • Dismantle machines to install new or repaired parts.
  • May operate welding equipment to join metal parts.
  • Utilize and update records within the company's maintenance control software.
  • Inspect and test machinery using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Perform routine repairs to physical structures, including plumbing and electrical work.
  • Support annual and quarterly tests and inspections for safety compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years experience in industrial maintenance or machine tool operation.
  • Vocational or associate degree in machine tool or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and usage of hand/power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in diagnosing pneumatic and hydraulic systems problems.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase high voltage and DC electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment, including CNC mills and lathes.
  • Basic PC skills.
