Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Metalcraft of Mayville is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving mechanical and automated equipment used in production operations. This role involves ensuring safety compliance and coordinating maintenance tasks in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage equipment calibrations and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance inventories and manage vendor relationships.
  • Generate daily work logs to track work orders and project statuses.
  • Enforce maintenance safety requirements and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in metal fabrication
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls for robotic equipment
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical P&ID drawings
  • Detail orientation, self-motivation, and multitasking abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
