Overview

Horizon Realty Advisors LLC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for their apartment community in Ellensburg, WA. This role involves assisting in all maintenance needs, enhancing property appearance, and managing service requests while focusing on resident relations and superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in managing service requests and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain positive resident relations through superior service
  • Inspect property grounds and buildings to identify and correct hazardous conditions
  • Fulfill resident service requests and monitor service request turnaround time
  • Perform unit inspections and make ready processes for new residents
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Assist with in-house and capital projects as assigned
  • Maintain the preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the community
  • Ensure maintenance shop is organized and stocked, adhering to safety standards
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws relating to Fair Housing
  • Perform on-call duties after hours and on weekends as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One-year related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • HVAC I and II Certification preferred
  • CPO Certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to follow instructions and use hand and power tools
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Professional attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and pool upkeep
  • Thorough knowledge of safety standards, Fair Housing laws, and OSHA guidelines
