Overview

The Maintenance Technician at WSH Management, Inc. is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a high-rise HUD property for seniors and disabled individuals in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves handling various maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs, while also ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the property's appearance.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect property and equipment daily to determine service needs
  • Respond to service requests according to Fair Housing guidelines
  • Implement and supervise Preventative Maintenance program
  • Complete and submit a monthly property safety inspection report
  • Assist with apartment turnover as requested
  • Direct contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Manage inventories of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Provide emergency on-call services on a rotating basis
  • Communicate effectively with Property Manager and office staff
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, heating, and appliance problems

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant or apartment maintenance experience
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Full-time schedule (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
