Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Food Enterprise team in Stansbury Park, Utah. This role involves performing preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document completed work and conditions using maintenance computer software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various components and systems, including packaging equipment and hydraulic & pneumatic systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools and hand tools
  • Comprehend mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate a forklift
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Basic math skills
  • One year of experience in maintenance trades in an industrial environment
  • Completion of the Industrial Maintenance Technician Course or the ability to complete certification within 18 months
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (preferred)
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) or willingness to acquire certification (preferred)
