Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work in their Food Enterprise sector in Ophir, Utah. This full-time role involves performing industrial maintenance on various systems and equipment to ensure functionality and safety in the workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document all completed work and conditions found using maintenance computer software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair components and systems including packaging equipment and hydraulic systems
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools and basic hand tools
  • Comprehend and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate a forklift and adhere to safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Experience with maintenance trades in an industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging equipment, and various maintenance tools
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Experience with SAP or CMMS preferred
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
