Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a skilled lead maintenance tech to join our team in Portland. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. Our company offers a competitive hourly rate and overtime, favorable benefits, opportunities for advancement, great culture, and strong leadership.POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing PlantLOCATION - Portland, OregonHOURLY RATE - $ per hour - Plus $ per hour for SD - Hourly rate is based on experience and mechanical/electrical testing.SHIFT - 6am to 4:30pm - Friday - MondayJob responsibilities include:Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.Perform simple preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and routine part replacementsFabricate / repair simple metal projectsAssist Technicians to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC controlled CNC's, welders, and saws.Maintain data entry for required written and electronic equipment logs.Proper usage of personal protective equipment.Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.Qualifications:One to two years of related work experience requiredCertification from college or technical school preferredDemonstrable experience may be accepted in place of credentialsBasic knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and toolingMust be able to read and follow blueprints and schematicsSense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independentlyComputer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software programsExcellent written and oral communication and customer service skillsAttention to detail with strong organizational skills Exceptional customer service skillsAbility to work in and promote a team environment.What We OfferAt MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
