Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Tech II at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for repairing and maintaining various equipment and systems within the facility. This full-time position requires a hands-on approach to ensure the efficient operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all equipment and systems within the facility
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
  • Repair conveyor systems and other facility systems
  • Assemble, install, or repair electrical components and plumbing systems
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
  • Work with outside contractors for major repair issues
  • Perform safety inspections in the manufacturing environment

Required skills

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in distribution
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, conveyor systems, plumbing, and material handling equipment
  • Ability to read and understand manuals and schematics
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Ability to work non-traditional shifts and weekends
