Overview

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to join their Suffolk, Virginia team. This role involves repairing and maintaining all equipment and systems within the facility to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various maintenance tasks, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all equipment and systems within the facility
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance or repairs to ensure machines run smoothly
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
  • Repair and maintain conveyor systems
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions
  • Assemble, install, or repair electrical components and plumbing systems
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
  • Work with outside contractors for major repair issues

Required skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, conveyor systems, and plumbing
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Safety-minded approach
