Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor at Maiker Housing Partners will oversee and direct the maintenance operations of Adams County Housing Authority properties. The role involves ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to quality standards and budget guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
  • Inspect properties to identify maintenance needs and ensure prompt repairs
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and negotiate vendor contracts
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests efficiently
  • Maintain records of all maintenance activities
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and contractors
  • Stay current with industry best practices and technologies

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum five years of building maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot building systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools

  • Valid driver's license
