Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor at Maiker Housing Partners will oversee and direct the maintenance operations of the Adams County Housing Authority properties. This role ensures timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to quality standards and budget guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
  • Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and ensure repairs are completed promptly
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and negotiate vendor contracts
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and contractors
  • Stay current with industry best practices and new technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum five years of experience in building maintenance and repair
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
