Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing company focused on the building materials industry. This critical role involves overseeing the maintenance operations to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining a safe and functional environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including repairs and part replacements
  • Coordinate with other departments on their maintenance needs
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance team members
  • Monitor equipment inventory and manage orders
  • Develop and monitor budgets for labor, equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Keep records of maintenance and service activities

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PLCs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
  • In-depth mechanical and electrical systems maintenance knowledge
  • Plumbing, carpentry, and heating/cooling systems understanding
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school or degree in business/facility management preferred
  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) is a plus
