Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor at LiDestri Foods, Inc. is responsible for providing mechanical and electrical expertise to improve overall equipment effectiveness in processing, packaging, and warehouse operations. This role involves managing a maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, and implementing preventive maintenance activities while collaborating closely with production staff and adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Organize and manage maintenance staff supporting shift production
  • Communicate with Production Supervisors regarding equipment and facility issues
  • Audit and train maintenance employees on best practices
  • Conduct LOTO, Confined Space, and Hot Work Permit training
  • Serve as the point person for emergency repairs and new requests
  • Lead preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Utilize CMMS for asset utilization and scheduled maintenance
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering for design and installation efforts
  • Coach and mentor staff, including conducting performance appraisals
  • Maintain employee work schedules and manage timecard approvals

Required skills

  • AAS or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years experience leading a Maintenance Team in a manufacturing operation
  • 5 years experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Continuous improvement passion and motivational skills
  • Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Certified Plant Maintenance Professional
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
