Contract Maintenance Planner / Scheduler Location: Memphis, TN Project Duration: 2-6 months +/- Employment Type: Contract (Full Time) Position Summary On Grid Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support maintenance operations at a manufacturing facility in Memphis, Tennessee. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, maximize workforce productivity, and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has strong experience in an industrial manufacturing or chemical plant environment and is proficient with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) for work order planning, scheduling, and maintenance documentation. Key Responsibilities •Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work using SAP PM. •Review maintenance work requests and develop detailed job plans, including labor estimates, required materials, tools, permits, and equipment. •Build and maintain weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams. •Create and manage work orders, task lists, maintenance plans, and equipment history within SAP. •Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure materials and spare parts are available before scheduled work begins. •Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, reduce backlog, and increase schedule compliance. •Participate in daily planning meetings, weekly scheduling meetings, and outage planning sessions. •Ensure maintenance activities comply with plant safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company standards. •Support turnaround planning and execution as required. •Monitor maintenance KPIs including schedule compliance, backlog, wrench time, PM completion, and work order cycle time. •Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation. Required Qualifications •Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Scheduler, or Maintenance Coordinator in an industrial manufacturing, chemical, refinery, petrochemical, pulp & paper, or power generation facility. •Hands-on SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) experience is required. •Experience planning mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or rotating equipment maintenance activities. •Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. •Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures. •Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills. •Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Qualifications •Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. •Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), CMMS best practices, and maintenance planning methodologies. •Experience supporting plant turnarounds or major outages. •Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
