Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance Millwright in Orange Park, Florida. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery, specifically a planer machine, while adhering to safety standards and ensuring quality output.

Key responsibilities

  • Use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety rules and lockout procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Set, monitor, and maintain planer machine operations
  • Conduct minor repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Change knives and ensure proper setup of the planer
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs as directed
  • Feed the planer to maintain constant lumber flow
  • Maintain housekeeping as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete required training and competency assessments
