Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic at Mauser Packaging Solutions in Langley, BC, will be responsible for ensuring all production maintenance is performed effectively, including product quality control and the repair of line machinery and equipment. This role requires mechanical expertise to implement work methods and procedures that yield quality production and includes adherence to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all work instructions and safety policies
  • Examine machine controls for production line needs
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment
  • Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts
  • Identify causes of problems in mechanical devices
  • Dismantle devices to access defective parts
  • Inspect used parts for dimensional changes
  • Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain standards
  • Document and track changeover times
  • Achieve work orders to improve plant efficiency
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years' experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret procedure manuals, blue prints, and schematics
  • Use precision measuring devices
  • Basic understanding of systems and equipment schematics
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations
  • Ability to work professionally and responsibly
