Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic III at L.E. Cox Medical Centers is responsible for the proficient maintenance of HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical and plumbing, and conducting safety inspections. This role includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities and equipment, responding to work requests, and completing various maintenance-related installations under general supervision.

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on facilities, buildings, and equipment
  • Respond to work requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Install and replace maintenance-related equipment and structures
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrate proficient technical skills in repair and general maintenance tasks

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related maintenance/mechanical experience
  • Proficient communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Safe operation of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge for fire alarm, life safety systems, and building repairs
  • Technical skills in areas like interior finishes, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring
  • Active Driver's License
  • STI Fire Stop Certified within 1 year of hire
  • Preferred certifications in Refrigeration or Welding
