Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic III at L.E. Cox Medical Centers is responsible for maintaining HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as conducting safety inspections. This role includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance and may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems, electrical, and plumbing
  • Conduct safety inspections of facilities and equipment
  • Respond to work requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Install and replace various maintenance-related equipment and structures
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of maintenance/mechanical experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for fire alarm systems, HVAC, and plumbing
  • Technical skills for repair and maintenance in multiple areas
  • Active Driver's License
  • STI Fire Stop Certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
  • Preferred certifications in MEP, Refrigeration, or Welding
  • Forklift operation skills
