Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic at PURIS Grains is essential for maintaining production and facility equipment in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to transforming high-quality ingredients for the food industry. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment while adhering to safety and maintenance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills for repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Diagnose problems and perform adjustments and repairs.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Provide scheduled 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED; Technical School graduate preferred.
  • 7 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial skills.
  • Experience with grain handling and processing equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance welding and air compressors.
  • Knowledge of power and hand tools.
  • Software and PLC experience is helpful.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment like forklifts.
