Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to maintain the functionality of machines and building systems. This role requires expertise in mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and building systems
  • Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions
  • Use hand and power tools, instruments, and testing devices
  • Record maintenance and repair work details
  • Promote and maintain a safe workplace through proper safety practices

Required skills

  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and their maintenance
  • Experience in general maintenance and electrical duties
  • Ability to troubleshoot conveyor systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS and PM software systems
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
