Overview

The Towers of Quayside 2 is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager, also known as Chief Engineer, for a luxury condominium in Miami. This role requires an experienced professional who is comfortable performing and leading maintenance and repairs across various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, while ensuring that everything operates efficiently and safely to luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform and lead daily maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of building systems
  • Serve as the on-site building engineer, performing technical work alongside the team
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and respond to resident or property issues
  • Manage vendors and contractors for specialized work, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Maintain full safety and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
  • Proactively identify issues and execute repairs to protect assets
  • Motivate, mentor, and lead maintenance staff

Required skills

  • Hands-on technical experience in building or facility maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in condos, hotels, or luxury residential properties preferred
  • EPA, HVAC, or other technical certifications are a plus
  • FBC, NEC, and NFPA compliance
