Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Manager at Adams Thermal Systems will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment by overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, and utility systems. This role includes managing the maintenance staff, budgeting for maintenance operations, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal uptime of equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Hire and train maintenance department staff
  • Organize and oversee maintenance staff schedules and work assignments
  • Conduct performance evaluations and handle employee discipline
  • Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions within the facility
  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance/tooling budget
  • Schedule and manage maintenance activities to ensure production efficiencies
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Coordinate maintenance operations per ATS policies and guidelines
  • Participate in improvement initiatives with the operations team

Required skills

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience managing a maintenance team
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to use relevant tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of maintenance disciplines (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
  • PC knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, motion controls, and robotics preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
