Job Description

Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Manager at Greyhound Lines, Inc. is responsible for leading maintenance employees and support staff to ensure timely, safe, and efficient completion of fleet service requirements. This includes overseeing maintenance activities, preventative maintenance, and ensuring quality workmanship for the fleet and associated tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Prioritize repair orders and operational demands for efficient bus operations
  • Coordinate repair, preventive maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and bodywork of coaches and equipment
  • Develop employees through training, mentoring, and performance rewards
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are implemented and followed
  • Perform quality control checks on all equipment leaving the garage
  • Lead employees to achieve goals and objectives
  • Develop reports and performance indicators
  • Work independently and cooperatively with team members

Required skills

  • 5 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance management or operations
  • Heavy duty fleet experience and prior technician/mechanic experience
  • MS Office and fleet management systems proficiency
  • Problem-solving and real-time decision-making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
