Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Manager at Greyhound Lines, Inc. is responsible for overseeing maintenance employees and support staff to ensure timely, safe, and efficient completion of fleet service requirements. This leadership role involves coordinating maintenance operations and requires strong decision-making and team collaboration skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Prioritize repair orders and operational demands for fleet safety and efficiency
  • Coordinate repair, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and inspections of coaches and equipment
  • Develop employees through training, mentoring, and performance rewards
  • Ensure safety policies are followed and eliminate hazardous working conditions
  • Perform quality control checks on equipment
  • Lead employees to achieve set goals and objectives
  • Develop reports and performance indicators
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

Required skills

  • 5 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance management or operations
  • Heavy duty fleet experience and prior technician/mechanic experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management systems
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make real-time decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and team orientation
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
