Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Lead at Daniel Defense will oversee and direct maintenance operations across facilities and production equipment while mentoring the maintenance team. This role requires expertise in equipment maintenance and a commitment to high standards in safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct maintenance operations and mentor the maintenance team.
  • Assist with cost accounting and project planning; monitor expenditures.
  • Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on structures and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including CNC and PLC systems.
  • Maintain forks and manlifts, and perform machine shop fabrication and repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and environmental health standards.
  • Maintain work order records and report on time for scheduled shifts.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; competency at Equipment Maintenance 5 level.
  • 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent training program; journeyman certification preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assist with budget preparation and cost tracking.
