Overview

The Village at Mill Landing is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to join their hospitality-driven team in Rochester, New York. This role involves supporting the Plant Supervisor with operations, ensuring both interior and exterior maintenance of the community, and providing excellent service to residents, particularly seniors.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Plant Supervisor with plant operations needs
  • Provide interior maintenance of the community as defined by company standards
  • Conduct exterior maintenance, including grounds keeping and painting
  • Assist in all phases of maintenance for resident apartments and common areas
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation

Required skills

  • Experience in a similar maintenance position
  • HVAC certification (preferred)
  • Multitasking and organizational skills
  • Experience working with seniors
  • Familiarity with state and local agencies for inspections
