Overview

Cassia is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Newton Village, an award-winning senior care community. This full-time role involves maintaining the facility and ensuring a positive living environment for residents, where your skills will be appreciated and contribute to their well-being.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform carpet and floor care in resident rooms and common areas
  • Dispose of trash from common areas and resident rooms
  • Clean windows and move/arrange furniture as needed
  • Carry out routine maintenance repairs and projects
  • Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff
  • Keep detailed reports of ongoing and completed projects
  • Perform other duties as requested with minimal supervision

Required skills

  • Experience in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and floor care
  • Basic carpentry and plumbing skills
  • Ability to perform repairs inside and outside the building
  • Familiarity with basic maintenance tools like hammers, screwdrivers, and drills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Availability for on-call work
