Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Assistant at Medilodge of Zeeland plays a vital role in the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents. This position is essential in performing routine maintenance tasks and supporting larger renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep the building and equipment in good working order.
  • Monitor renovations, remodels, or replacements done by contractors.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, refrigerators, boilers, washers and dryers.
  • Participate in painting, redecorating, carpentry, concrete, and masonry projects.
  • Conduct and document routine inspections of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems.
  • Maintain weekly facility log for hot water temperature, generator checklist, and fire alarm testing.
  • Coordinate and document monthly fire drills.
  • Inspect grounds, cut grass, and perform landscaping tasks.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
