Overview

Chanhassen Dinner Theatre Maintenance Job Description Summary The General Maintenance will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooking, and other building systems. Responsabilites Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems. Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity. Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building. Groundskeeping to ensure that the lawns and other outdoor areas are maintained; including but not limited to snow removal. Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and potential guests in a pleasant manner. Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building. Experience Atleast two years of maintencace expereicne and/or training Related experience preferred. On-the-job training offered. Pay and Benefits $20-$30 an hour based on expereince and licenure. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Mid Shift. Weekly Pay. PTO, Holiday Pay, Full range of Benefit options after 60 days. Onsite meal options. Discount Tickets to CDT Main Stage shows. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
