Overview

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist Lead Pediatric at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the imaging services department. This role includes ensuring quality imaging, patient care, and workflow while providing leadership and training for department staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow
  • Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy
  • Oversee quality control testing and equipment maintenance
  • Serve as a resource to department staff and team members
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Completion of Radiology or MRI Technology program
  • ARRT-R or ARMRIT credential
  • 2 years of MRI experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Patient care expertise
  • Quality control and equipment maintenance skills
