Job Description

Overview

Groupe Gilbert is seeking a Magasinier ère to oversee inventory management and ensure efficient merchandise reception. The role, reporting to the logistics and inventory department head, also includes maintaining cleanliness and order in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Participate in safety meetings at the beginning of shifts
  • Perform continuous inventory checks to maintain quality
  • Track inventory inputs and outputs using the MIR operating system
  • Classify items according to workshop standards
  • Handle inventory assistance through work orders in MIR
  • Load, unload, and move products using manual or mechanical tools
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse and work environment
  • Respond to requests from the yard supervisor
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste containers
  • Load pallets into trucks
  • Position chemical tanks as required within the factory
  • Report trucks when necessary
  • Manually maintain areas around roll-off containers
  • Dispose of cardboard sheets into the press
  • Sign delivery slips for hazardous products
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Required skills

  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operation training (an asset)
  • Good physical condition
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Team collaboration abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
