Overview

Anderson Dahlen is seeking Machinists to work in Anoka, Minnesota. The role involves maintaining quality standards while operating CNC vertical, horizontal Mills, and Bridge Mills, as well as setting up and performing various machining operations. The company offers a range of shifts and competitive hourly wages.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and perform machining operations using various machine tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • Write programs for simple machining operations
  • Interpret blueprints with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Follow standard work instructions and ensure product quality
  • Use precision inspection measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Meet daily machining standards and production requirements
  • Maintain machines and perform autonomous maintenance
  • Modify CNC programs as needed

Required skills

  • Applied Science Degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent technical training
  • 1-2 years of machining experience
  • Shop math skills for feeds and speeds
  • Ability to use various machine tools and related equipment
  • Good judgment for complicated work sequences and setups
  • Dexterity to operate controls on lathes and other machine tools
  • Ability to maintain close tolerances
