Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd Shift in Horicon, Wisconsin. This role involves operating rotational molding machines to produce parts while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. The operator will also handle equipment maintenance, mold changes, and maintain clean work conditions, all under the supervision of the Production Shift Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate rotational molding machines to meet plant metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Transfer plastic resin into ovens and molds for forming.
  • Team up to assemble and dismantle molds.
  • Remove molded parts, monitor part temperature, and conduct mold changes using cranes and rigging.
  • Use feedback to drive process improvements and minimize scrap.
  • Document and communicate shift actions and irregularities in production and quality logs.

Required skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools.
  • Basic math skills for measurements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks such as bending and reaching.
  • Knowledge of 'G' and 'M' codes and basic computer skills.
