Overview

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the South Nampa Family Medicine Residency Clinic. This role involves assisting the Medical Director and supporting resident physicians in providing high-quality, personalized care for patients of all ages, focusing on wellness visits, preventive screenings, and chronic condition management.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Medical Director and resident physicians
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer immunizations
  • Conduct EKGs and prepare injections
  • Assist with minor procedures and preventative screenings
  • Handle in-basket tasks, orders, and patient phone calls
  • Develop efficiencies and support the clinic's operations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.)
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or relevant externship
  • Experience with phlebotomy and immunization administration
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Epic experience is a plus
