Overview

Sygnetics, Inc is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support the mission at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care and geriatrics, as well as the ability to perform nursing tasks with professionalism and proficiency in medical equipment operation.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty using professional care theories and practices.
  • Assess adult and geriatric patients, preparing them for treatments and procedures.
  • Supervise paraprofessional staff in patient care.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps and EKG units.
  • Maintain professionalism and respond to feedback from team members.

Required skills

  • Diploma of LPN or LVN from an accredited program
  • Valid LPN/LVN license in the U.S.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Knowledge of medical disorders, diagnostic studies, and treatments
  • Proficiency in computer operations and automated medical records

What the company offers
