Job Description

Overview

Advocates is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing services within their Clinic Respite, Day Habilitation, and Residential programs in Framingham, Massachusetts. This role involves working under the guidance of the RN Manager and includes responsibilities related to medical management, medication supervision, and collaboration with various stakeholders to promote resident care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist residents with medical management, including physicals, referrals, and appointments.
  • Provide emergency first aid during medical crises.
  • Coordinate medical care with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Implement and oversee medication management according to regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the level of care provided and propose quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Maintain and update medical information for residents.
  • Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
  • Educate residents and staff about health management.

Required skills
