Overview

The LVN, Licensed Vocational Nurse Clinic for Specialty Cardiology at CHRISTUS Health provides essential patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. This role involves performing various lab procedures, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring documentation and communication are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide care under supervision of physician or registered nurses for clinic patients
  • Perform basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs and collecting specimens
  • Assist provider(s) in examination and treatment of patients
  • Manage patient flow through the clinic
  • Assist in scheduling test appointments and documenting information related to patients
  • Administer medications and immunizations as per provider orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of exam rooms and equipment
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as locating patient charts and filing
  • Attend required meetings and in-service training
