Job Description

Overview

Mercy is seeking a full-time Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) to join their Regional Float Pool, providing care to patients across multiple hospital facilities in the St. Louis area. This position allows nurses to utilize their clinical skills in a variety of settings and specialties, fostering professional growth and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric patients
  • Float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities
  • Build strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Work with diverse teams and patient populations
  • Maintain licensure and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current LPN license in the hiring state
  • One year of recent bed-side LPN experience for Med Surg
  • Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for other specialties
  • Epic experience preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS for specific specialties; IV certification required
