Job Description

Overview

The Loudon County School Based Mental Health Liaison will work as a key member of the team providing mental health counseling and support services to children and families within the Loudon County School System. This role requires the clinician to deliver various therapeutic modalities, conduct assessments, and facilitate communication among clients, schools, and community resources.

Key responsibilities

  • Provides individual and family psychotherapy for children aged 4-21.
  • Conducts diagnostic psycho-social assessments within specified timeframes.
  • Completes all required clinical documentation in accordance with policies and guidelines.
  • Participates in IEP/504 meetings and provides advocacy and referral services as needed.
  • Conducts individual, family, and group counseling sessions.
  • Develops and implements treatment interventions based on treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Attends weekly treatment team meetings with school personnel and community partners.
  • Facilitates school-based trainings for teachers and students.
