Job Description

Overview

The Loudon County School Based Mental Health Liaison at the Helen Ross McNabb Center serves as a critical link between clients, schools, families, and communities. This role involves providing psychotherapy, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for children and adolescents aged 4-21 within the Loudon County School System. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and demands flexibility, professionalism, and a comprehensive understanding of mental health practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family psychotherapy to children ages 4-21.
  • Conduct diagnostic psycho-social assessments within specified timeframes.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation and updates according to center policies.
  • Interface with school personnel and community partners to promote mental health services.
  • Participate in IEP/504 meetings and provide parent education.
  • Conduct multiple training sessions for teachers and students each school year.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency mental health services as needed.
