Job Description

Overview

SJS Executives LLC is seeking a full-time Logistics Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to manage the flow of materials and products throughout the production lifecycle. This role involves monitoring, tracking, and controlling logistics processes, aiming for a reliable 40-hour work week with occasional Saturday or evening shifts for special projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and control movement of products and materials from receipt to delivery.
  • Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies according to production schedules.
  • Establish internal delivery sequences based on job order priorities.
  • Compile perpetual records to locate materials in production.
  • Document orders, materials, and stock movements.
  • Wrap orders and prepare them for delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders as needed.
  • Ensure finished products are secured and ready for shipment.
  • Submit daily reports on status of all jobs.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report safety concerns.
  • Attend safety and training sessions as requested.

Required skills

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of requisitioning and warehouse operations
  • Experience in shipping and receiving
  • Knowledge of production environments and transportation of goods
