Job Description

Overview

The LOD Specialist II at Midland States Bank focuses on the instructional design, implementation, and facilitation of Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) programming. This role requires project management skills and a deep understanding of the bank's strategic goals to deliver relevant training opportunities for employees. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in both in-person and virtual training and will be responsible for upskilling and reskilling employees through various training modalities.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver LOD programming for employee upskilling and reskilling.
  • Serve as a project manager for training programs from conceptualization to maintenance.
  • Assess and recommend strategic opportunities for distance learning and web-based training.
  • Maintain and evaluate tools supporting learning and development goals.
  • Conduct training programs for different audiences, both internal and external.
  • Design plans and procedures for training administration, monitoring progress and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with subject matter specialists on content development and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Education, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of training experience in various learning modalities.
  • Proficiency in authoring software (Articulate) for eLearning content.
  • Experience with Learning Management Software (Cornerstone).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong emotional intelligence and adaptability.
