Overview

A well-respected hospital system is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locums position to assist with Neurosurgery coverage in northwestern Pennsylvania, starting August 2026. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of neurosurgery or surgical experience, primarily focused on weekend coverage with additional weekday opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Rounding on patients
  • Conducting consults and admissions
  • Managing floor call
  • Providing telephone-based call support
  • Assisting in surgeries as a first assist when necessary

Required skills

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of neurosurgery or surgical experience
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • EMR EPIC experience
  • PA license preferred or willing to obtain
  • Recent case logs required
