Overview

Aya Locums is seeking a locum Critical Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in San Francisco, CA. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $105 to $120 per hour and involves providing care in a children's facility for a 26-week assignment with a standard schedule of three 12-hour shifts requiring no call.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Required skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in California

  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to specialty
