Job Description

Overview

The Local Marketing Manager at Ace Hardware Corporation will spearhead the development and execution of regional and local marketing strategies to enhance growth for over 5,000 Ace retailers. This role involves collaborating with individual stores and regional groups to create and implement effective marketing plans that drive traffic and strengthen brand presence.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead strategic development and execution of local marketing initiatives
  • Oversee field activation and ensure programs are locally relevant
  • Facilitate retailer and vendor meetings to align on marketing objectives
  • Manage relationships with retailers across individual stores and multi-store groups
  • Support national and local marketing initiatives execution for retailers
  • Serve as primary contact for retailer marketing inquiries
  • Coordinate vendor relationships for local marketing programs
  • Assist store owners with digital marketing, including social media and Google Business Profile optimization
  • Support onboarding of new stores and local marketing activation

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of multi-unit retail experience
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and marketing fundamentals
  • Ability to influence retailers and drive execution of marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in digital and traditional marketing, and analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and marketing tools
  • Excellent teamwork and independent work skills
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
