Overview

The Local CDL A or B Driver with Crane Certification at SRS Building Products is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius. This role involves operating trucks, cranes, and forklifts, conducting inspections, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and safe delivery practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely deliver building materials within a 200-mile radius following DOT regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts and coordinate with rooftop loaders for accurate deliveries.
  • Verify inventory and document deliveries with photos.
  • Assess job sites for safety risks and provide excellent on-site customer service.
  • Support warehouse and yard maintenance.

Required skills

  • Valid CDL driver's license with air brakes endorsement
  • NCCCO Crane Certification
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards
  • Experience in operating cranes, forklifts, and conveyor systems
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clean driving record
  • 1-2 years of driving experience preferred
