Overview

The Local CDL A Driver at SRS Building Products is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building materials to job sites. This role emphasizes operational efficiency, strong customer relationships, and adherence to safety protocols, while also requiring physical capability for handling materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections
  • Verify inventory accuracy
  • Ensure secure, damage-free deliveries
  • Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards
  • Collaborate with customers for material placement
  • Document deliveries with photos according to company policy
  • Load/unload materials using forklifts or manually
  • Communicate effectively in English at job sites

Required skills

  • Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
  • Forklift operation
  • Hazmat handling (preferred)
  • Vehicle maintenance skills (preferred)
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries (preferred)
  • Ability to work in varied weather and noisy environments
  • Commitment to safety compliance and continuous improvement
