Overview

The Local CDL A Driver at SRS Building Products is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building materials to job sites, while also verifying inventory and adhering to safety protocols. This role supports operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through strong teamwork and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy
  • Ensure secure and damage-free deliveries
  • Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers
  • Document deliveries with photos as per company policy
  • Load and unload materials up to 100 lbs using forklifts or manually
  • Work in varied weather and noisy environments

Required skills

  • Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
  • Forklift operation skills
  • Safety compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Strong vehicle maintenance skills preferred
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems preferred
