Job Description

Overview

The Loan Servicing Assistant at Northwest Business Development Association is responsible for monitoring and servicing loan functions, ensuring timely receipt of payments and financial statements, and maintaining proper lien filings. This role involves direct communication with borrowers and requires strong organizational skills to manage tracking systems effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor tracking systems for annual financial statements and ensure timely communication with borrowers.
  • Upload financial information to the data management system.
  • Ensure timely UCC filings and monitor interim lien releases.
  • Conduct site visits and verify loan accountability on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare accurate payoff statements and manage collateral document releases.
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with delinquent loans and make recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Enter all activities accurately into the Loan Management and Document Management Systems.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of Real Estate Title Insurance and Commercial Real Estate lending
  • Strong proficiency in PC applications including Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Experience with SBA 504 VENTURES is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate customer service
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
