Job Description

Overview

NY TEAM Federal Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented and member-focused Loan Processor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing various consumer lending products, including Home Equity Loans and Mortgages, while ensuring exceptional service throughout the lending process.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and prepare Home Equity Loans, Mortgages, Personal Loans, Auto Loans, and other consumer loan products.
  • Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze supporting documentation including income verification, credit reports, and appraisals.
  • Coordinate with members, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors for timely loan closings.
  • Monitor loan pipelines and maintain status updates throughout the approval process.
  • Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and lending guidelines.
  • Prepare closing packages and review loan documents prior to funding.
  • Assist members with loan-related questions and provide outstanding member service.
  • Maintain accurate records and electronic loan files.
  • Support quality control and post-closing review processes.
  • Cross-sell Credit Union products and services when appropriate.

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of loan processing experience, preferably in a Credit Union or bank.
  • Strong knowledge of Home Equity Loans, HELOCs, and Mortgage Lending products.
  • Understanding of loan documentation and underwriting requirements.
  • Experience reviewing credit reports, income calculations, and appraisals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems.
  • Excellent communication and member service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
